Aracelia is the daughter of captain Albert & Isabelle Albus. Her mother Isabelle sadly died when Aracelia was just 4 years old. "Supposedly" due due to a tragic domestic accident; Isabelle was holding Aracelia in her arms when she tripped and fell down the stairs. Alarmed by the sound of the crying Aracelia the neighbours rushed into the house only to find Isabelle dead with a broken neck. Aracelia luckily only suffered minor injuries. Father Albert was not at home during that time but after Albert had learned about Isabelle's death Albert chose to send Aracelia to the orphanage. As captain of the ship Alkammar Albert has always sailed the waters and wasn't home much. So, although not technically an orphan, her father deemed it wiser to place Aracelia under the care of the orphanage then to take his 4 year old child with him on the long and dangerous oversea travels.

While staying at the orphanage Aracelia was well looked after by the staff who in turn were paid well by father Albert. Albert also kept the habit of bringing gifts for Aracelia from faraway places he had sailed to. As Aracelia missed her father terribly she became fascinated with the moon and stars, believing that despite the many miles apart her father and her were always watching the same stars. However the orphanage wasn't a pleasant place for Aracelia, the other kids noticed that she was treated special by the staff and noticed she had more stuff then they could ever dream off. As a result she was repeatedly bullied and picked on by other kids. It is during this time that Aracelia became somewhat of a loner and dreamer. Not really socializing a lot instead spending more time with animals & examining plants.

When Aracelia became twelve, the orphanage thought it was wise that Aracelia learned a craft, because come sixteen she would have to take care of herself. Aracelia had shown an affinity with plants and animals so the Orphanage asked her to start training at a local temple of Chauntea. During daytime she learned her basic skills and learned to nurture, tend, and plant whenever and wherever possible; protect trees and plants, and save their seeds to that what is destroyed can be replaced; see to the fertility of the earth. However this soon bored Aracelia, who had a more adventurous and creative mind. Luckily for Aracelia the temple of Chauntea held a great number of books. One book in particular captured her interest. This book tells the stories of Lurue the Unicorn, also known as "Silverymoon," the goddess of talking beasts and good intelligent monsters. Aracelia still quite the loner used this persona to tell her thoughts and feelings, every night before she went to bed, she told Lurue a little story and asked for advice.

When Aracelia became fifteen her father once again went away for a long trip oversea. He said that he was sailing to the end of the world and back. Albert knew very well how dangerous the world can be so before he left though he left his daughter with a long sword and chain mail armour. He gave her the strong advise to practice hard and learn to defend herself as she might need it in the future.

Aracelia has spent the last year training with her sword, working at the temple of Chantea, sleeping at the orphanage and talking to Lurue each night before she went to bed. Aracelia is currently awaiting the return of her father Albert, who she hasn't seen in nearly a year. He's supposed to arrive in the harbour within a ten-day.

I don't mind if you make a sketch first. Whatever you feel that works. Personally I usually feel that pauldrons have the risk of making the character to masculant. But feel free to do what you feel is right. I have no 'fixed image' of her in my mind you need to stick to.

Do the sections have to be scenes or can they be things to do with her life like Chauntea on one side and Lurue on the other?

They don't have to be scene's. If you have a creative idea to make a triptych based on the story mentioned above that's perfectly fine. In fact, I always applaud some extra creativity and appreciate people who think outside the box.

Contests are really tricky as a freelancer, as their is no guarantee your work will be paid for, but I can definitely appreciate the appeal to an employer. What better than having all the options to choose from?!

Anyway, a reasonable sum for me would be around €125. :) Thanks for your time.
