I'm a software developer for a popular ad tech company; I work a full time 9-5 job. I am looking to freelance to build a resume so that I can hopefully, one day, work for myself as a contractor. I am looking for experience in *contracting* not software development. My primary focus is the back end. I create scripts and web services to aggregate and store production data. I am good with MySQL and database design; I am familiar with the MySQL optimizer and can make queries fast and efficient. My strongest languages are php, java, and python; in each language I am familiar with connecting to a database or file system. When creating a functional website, I'm proficient with the LAMP stack. Just so every one is aware, I have a full time job. But! I am very good at software development and enjoy it as a hobby. I am looking for honest work so I can build a respectable portfolio of clients. I am not interested in low pay for poor work; I am interested in fair pay for good, solid work.
