Developed and implemented a Microsoft Office/Access based application which processed incoming Groupon like certificate purchase data and merged processed data into a Word based mail merge document which was transmitted to customer via Outlook. Word based redemption certificate included a randomly generated barcode sequence which was used at store to validate certificate. Application shown is the user interface used at the store for redeeming incoming certificates and tracking purchase data associated with certificate. As with Groupon, reports were available for checking the profitability of a discount certificate offer as well as being able to identify and email individuals who were approaching the expiration date of the certificate.
