As part of a private equity transaction I ran a project to disentangle the IT environment from the seller's centralised IT function. This included carving out all applications and migrating them to a new cloud-based data center environment. We set up the entire IT environment from scratch (WAN, servers, backup, DR, services (such as service desk), governance, etc). We have 11 sites. I currently run the IT function of the business and focus on enabling cost and business performance optimisation.
