I'm in need of a Full-Stack Developer who particularly understands either Ruby on Rails , with also a strong understanding of creating and managing either Heroku or Amazon AWS instances. Front-End skills also needed with preferably a strong background in UI/UX design. In need of someone who's very capable of independently working, meeting deadlines and is able to develop at a continuous pace and is willing to communicate and discuss issues openly where and when they'd possibly arise however also someone who's capable of problem-solving. We focuses on developing applications automation which is a platform for individuals and companies interested in automation. We are looking to undertake a development phase whereby we create a single application to start with the opportunity for long-term multi-app management and development. We're in need of someone who is able to work Full-Time. The initial application we'll be building will be discussed upon or leading up to the awarding of the position. In your submission we're interested in knowing #1. If you believe full-heartedly you're capable of creating Ruby on Rail Apps or if you'd be able to quickly learn how to. #2. Previous work that may relate - or projects in general that you've done with relation to web-based applications.) #3. Hi, Disclaimer: I never did any real Ruby on Rails project before. Did some courses on Coursera but no hands-on experience. Also, never deployed any project on Heroku and Amazon AWS. If you want to further read, let me explain myself why I am applying this. I am a very dedicated learner. I studied computer science and have longer than 8 years of working experience in different web and mobile technologies. Recently I worked on React and React Native project which I did not have any experience with those and completed the job successfully. Hi, For the last three years, I have been developing ruby on rails projects hosted on aws. At one point I was using 24 servers in ec2 using load balancers and auto scaling. I have also used SQS, SNS, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and the CLI in AWS. Some of the issues are: how cookies are stored; race conditions; database and active record issues Over the last three years, some of the experience I have gained is : I have become familiar with at least 50 of the major gems; fixed very gnarly unicode issues (so know what to do to avoid them in the first place); designed the app to run in a multilingual environment with different languages, measuring units and currencies using i18n; and have used redis caching to speed up the front end. I also did big data (millions of entries in the database), which has its own needs I can work full time. Based near the Houston Metro area. 1. My experience includes developing rails projects for nine years with versions ranging from rails 2 - rails 5. Migrating some of those projects from rails 3 to rails 4 to rails, databases from sqlite to MySQL and from MySQL to Postgresql. I did the backend, frontend and deployment of these projects and currently do ongoing maintenance for some of them. I practice test driven development using rspec, factory-girl, etc and all of my projects use javascript in the front. Frameworks range from plain old javascript to jQuery, jQuery-ui to angular to react and bootstrap. 2. All of my development experience has been enterprise grade. The rails projects include an api to manage subscriptions and streaming of music from AWS for a product released at this years CES. A Corporate policy and procedure site(document management), A System to manage the cleanup of major league baseball parks, and a consultation data intake, tracking and reporting system for healthcare. I program in java, c++, python and perl. Projects include interfacing the POS system of a large regional auto repair and tire wholesaler/retailer using Java to epicor's platform for estimating, parts ordering and parts tracking which involved writing asynchronous servers to receive info from the legacy platform and process it with several api's using XML, Soap, and JSON rest. In c++ I wrote an asyncronous server to interface tire fitment inquiries to a SOAP system. Python/node financial processing for a large bank.
