German Translation&Editing of Psychology Website

We are a website and Facebook application with 2 Million users per month. The site is called intelligent e l i t e . com and [login to view URL] It is a dating site with a focus of matching people via different kinds of psychometric tests: IQ, EQ personality and love type test. All this test as professional test with professional results. Thus the translation has to be of very high quality! Translation and Editing We need more than just a literal translation. 1. You need to make sure that everything you write is in very good style. Thus we would prefer to have a person who has experience in article writing. 2. Also the translation needs to be done online, directly into the translation panel. The panel will tell you how many words you have translated and how many are still remaining. It has Google translator integrated so that for many things you just click on „auto“ and get the Google translation, without typing, which of course need to be modified in most cases. You also need not know any HTML. However there are variables in several messages and so it is best if you worked with such a text before as you need to translated the variable but take them into account. 3. Also you need to localize. So for example names need to be adjusted but also for drop downs like “Sports” or “religion” you need to choose the appropriate content for your language. 4. At least half of your time you will not spend on translating but to check your translation. You need to go to the website and check every page! Easy translation We do not think it is hard translation. Also it should be quiet an interesting translation. A large part of the translation are the IQ test questions and the detail IQ, EQ and Personality Test Report which are all prepared for average users not psychologist. Thus the terminology we use and that you should use should be that which is understandable to normal user. We have paid translators for other language on a per word basis between 7 and 12 USD. We have around 60,000 words to translated so that worked out to 400-700 UD. We are now willing to spend a little more but still are price sensitive! Part of the website is already translated. The translation has been partly done by a freelancer and partly by me. However everything needs to be rechecked. For rechecking everything we would want to pay in between 33-66% of the payment for translation, depending on the quality that you find has been translated. We usually will want to hire two people: One person to translate, check and edit the translation. Another person to double-check and double-edit the translation! If there are two many mistakes we will not want to pay you or pay you less. Payment will be made according to milestones. Before you apply In the past we have told translators many times to edit their work. There were some problems because they apparently felt that they could make some quick money by doing a fast translation. This will not work. It needs to be 100% quality and you need to check everything. In fact we have a long list of instructions for what to check for in every section! Thus do not bid if you want to make quick money do bid if you are genuinely interested in the project and fulfill our requirements.
