I am looking for a mechanical engineer to work with my architect on a commercial build out. We are taking 1 commercial unit and dividing it into two. The unit currently has three air conditioners for the entire space of about 3200 sq feet. We are dividing it into two units one side will be 1800 sq feet and the other side will be 1400 sq feet. We need a mechanical engineer to determine how many AC units should be used for half of the new space (1800 sq ft side), what duct work would be required for this job and the cooling loads. We have a cad file to work with and can prepare the documents you need to do the job.

Hello, To divide your unit into 3 units would require you to run separate ducts to each unit with each unit having its own power supply and air handler. If you need help with the design of the units please let me know. Im in Pompano Beach.
