Hi there,
I am looking for someone who is serious and interested to create the design project below. I specified my budget, however I am willing to pay a little bit more but these things below need to be done.
Things that need to be done:
1. Maps- site analysis
2. Users analysis
3. Environmental analysis
4. Material analysis- used materials and stained glass( windows )
5. Brief research about homeless people and their needs
6. Plan+section(s) of the church
7. Initial ideas for a canteen ( sketches or drawings by using software programs) - I have done 3 sketch models, which will be useful for the inial ideas, they just need to be drawn+ 2-3 more ideas for a canteen.
8. Modeling the final idea for a canteen ( +the church)- rendering
8.1 Plan+section of the final canteen
Drawings need to be into scale if it is possible like 1:100,1:200 etc, depending of what is the intention to show in the drawing.
Ps. Some of the analysis could be done by making diagrams.
Brief description of the project so you can inderstand the idea:
Design a canteen for homeless and foodless residents of central London in St. Leonard’s Church, Shoreditch.
The intention is to create a canteen for homeless people which would be related with synesthesia (condition in which one sense, for example, hearing, is simultaneously perceived as if by one or more additional senses such as sight.
After visiting and exploring the church, I found out that I was interested in a stained glass window inside the church (it’s the only one there). A potential idea of the canteen could be a canteen built like an installation inside the church and extending outside the grounds of the church.
Based on research, most homeless people stay in bright and crowded places, such as outside shops and train stations, because they feel more secure. For that reason, I want the canteen to be built as a bright/safe place. Maybe it would be a good idea if the canteen looks simple otherwise the clients would probably be ‘’scared’’ to visit it if it is made out of expensive materials and it looks ‘’posh’’ for them. The clients need to feel a relaxed atmosphere and also to feel secure.
Stained glass for me is a colour, pattern, form, reflection, transparency/translucent. Focusing on this type of glass, transparency, colour and maybe pattern it would help to design a canteen for homeless people, with a synesthesia condition or not.
