We need to set up users with limited permissions on Active Directory on SBS 2003. Last time I tried it, it didn't work as hoped. I had done it a similar way on our old Windows 2000 Server and it worked fine but not this time. It's so long ago that I can hardly remember but it was something to do with members of domain users. Let's say domain users and and administrators had full permission over the F:Public folder. All users are members of domain users so they also had full permission to view F:Public. Now we want to set up a new user, 'User123' who should not have full permission for F:Public but only F:Publicabc and maybe F:abc. We had tried to achieve this by removing User123 as a member of domain users and then setting up a new group that would have permission to only F:Publicabc and F:abc but that didn't work. So maybe domain users shouldn't have full permissions for F:Public, then there should be one group with full permission for F:Public and another group with full permission for only F:Publicabc and F:abc. We also need email accounts set up, we have all the incoming and outgoing mail settings.
