I have already done a similar program that connects to webapi and resides in System tray ..As soon as the message appears it shows the popup..It basically implements a timer control that communicates with api every 30 seconds and fetch new stuff.. Looking forward to have a chat with you to discuss about your existing api and how it sends message that will be read by our app that resides in System tray .. Will use c#, Which version of windows will be used to install this app ?
