This project will consist of Inputs, Central processing unit for decision-making, and output functionalities.
The system will collect the measured data from the surrounding environment through sensors in analog format and convert them into digital format.
The processing unit is provided with a software to control inputs and outputs.
The outputs of the device will be mechanical.
Control the water inlet by using a digital valve.
Be connected to the Internet via wi-Fi for uploading the event logs such as temperature, humidity and status of the valves for irrigation on realtime basis.
The system will also be controlled manually by the web portal. The requirements from portal will be:
Defining different valves related to different blocks,
Defining different sensors related to different blocks.
Manual operation of the valves (On/Off),
Initializing the defined parameters (such as the soil moisture levels, outside temperature…),
Monitor water consumption and sensor values,
Data Collection sequence (in minutes/hours),
Web portal should be responsive.
System should be designed modular. Multiple irrigation units can be controlled by the central web portal.
System should be able to operate without internet connection on basic functionalities. (Offline/Online mode)
