Small Bash Script Modification (Python - May be needed)

Im using the following script in wrote in python:

(it creates video contact sheets).
I'm running it in a "bash .sh" script. However if it fails the script stops. I would like to have either in the bash script line (see below) to ignore the error. If not able to do this via the bash line, slight modification of the "vcsi" script may be required.
Here are the bash lines used to call the script:
function make_thumbnails() {
vcsi /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/videos/*.mp4 -t -w 1800 -g 10x3 --background-color 000000 --metadata-font-color ffffff;
echo -e "Thumbnails has been generated, please delete any unwanted thumbnail files and once finished, please run: $0 finalize"
}
They have a request to add an "ignore errors" feature into VCSI, however it has not been added yet, see link below... I need either it added or something in the bash line to ignore errors....

I have tried to add a few different bash versions of ignoring errors in the vcsi line above, without getting satisfactory results.
