I believe you require a Production Work Flow Management System. I would recommend not using excel sheets to do this, since any excel workbook that grows in size starts to become to unstable and will crash. You may end up losing data. Instead I propose (if you want a cheap and cheerful solution) to use MS Access and develop forms for it. It is a product designed for Databases and allows for forms to interact with it. Also it will give you some scalability down the road when you decide to expand the capabilities of your system. I would love to discuss this further. You can reach me in the chat.

Hello, I would like to work on this project. I have extensively worked on Excel macros and have made excel tools which helps me with my various works. I saw your sample file. Based on what I understood, I can suggest this solution to you. I'll put a start button, on click of this the first item in the list will be set with a start time and process marked as in-progress. On click of pause button, that process will be marked completed and an end time will be set. On click of start button again, the next process will be set with start time and will be marked as in-process. In between, if you want to skip a process, I'll make provision to for that too. Also you will be able to add as many processes as you want at the end. Finally, there will be a button called process complete (or similar). On click of this, I'll record all the times logged to a separe worksheet for storage. Let me know if you are looking for something similar.
