Develop a social platform app which will be used by neighborhoods, schools and other organizations to help build community.
Scope: Pinterest with a twist. Not a WordPress site. In addition, THERE IS A MAPPING/GEOCODING COMPONENT which I will discuss. Minimal graphic design. An account can also be created and accessed by linking to a Facebook or Twitter profile. A user can find friends by using his or her Facebook and Twitter accounts. There is an option of making boards "secret".
Time frame: must be available to begin work immediately.
Job Description:
Your responsibilities:
- Review business requirements working with other team members
- Perform a technical analysis of requirements
- Produce a solid, detailed technical design
- Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements with little or no supervision
- Work with the QA and Customer Support teams to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround
- Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use
Your qualifications:
Experience in social media/visual discovery apps. Need a stable and fast API. Graphic design not important at this stage. Experience with Social Media, Network data Management, Mapping, geo-coding.
