I did a lot of project similar to this. One of the project for a local English school here which has been running for 3 years. Here is the solution: - ESP8266 is used as the main WiFi controller - RC522 RFID reader module is used - A small PHP or NodeJS (your choice) web service is created to receive RD ID info from the ESP8266 and save to database. My bid include: - Create firmware for ESP8266 to interface with RC522 and submit data to the web - Create a small backend (PHP or NodeJS) - Schematic diagram to show how to connect pin The bid does not include any hardware creation.
