I work for a small company near Huntsville, Alabama which has utilized a Microsoft Access database with visual basic support to create a program we call "the Repertoire". This is a very simply program which will list all our open projects, the treeview bill of material for each project, and the files associated with each component.
We've been incredibly happy with the Repertoire so far; however as the company is growing, we are finding an increasing number of issues accross the organization (ie: windows updates or different accounts corrupting the Repertoire database). As such, I'm interested in a standalone visual basic program, distributed via network drive, which will perform the same function. The theory is a legitimately coded and uneditable program will hopefully be more stable than our current solution.
Note: I've requested the project to be in visual basic as I'd like to maintain the ability to update the program as the organization changes.
