Hello sir. My experience with kinect v1 and v2 sensor is quite deep as I used it for both depth sensing as well as object recognition for an autonomous vehicle project. Due to this rigorous tinkering, I have had first hand experience with the libfreenect library as well as the OpenNI library. I know the pros and cons of each of them as well as the trade-offs to consider during development. Setting up the development environment on both Windows as well Linux comes with its own set of challenges which i have tackled the hard way.
