Python script to automate rendering of multiple 3D Images in 3D Maya.

A texture will be applied onto a 3d image with multiple different parts that needs to be rendered separately as PNG.

The Python script serves to automate the rendering of more than 30 different parts.

Each file will be saved under batch name with appendix.

This script should be able to apply the texture from different files in a folder and saving each into a new folder with individual files.

The second part of this project is to refine a 3D Model.

Details:

The project is a 3D model of a men’s shirt.

Each component of the shirt is separated onto a different layer so it can be generated on its own. E.G. the collar can be generated independent of the rest of the shirt. There are 3 major components, collar, cuff and placket. Each component has up to 7 variations E.G. 7 types of collars to choose from – mandarin collar, button-down collar, etc.

Fabric will be uploaded so that the each component can be generated in multiple fabric types. As such, for 1 fabric, all the individual components and variations will have a PNG image generated. This is currently done manually.

End result is that the user can mix and match different collar types with different fabric colours to customize their own unique shirt.

2 parts to this project.

1) To fine-tune a 3D model, smooth out the edges, shift some buttons, adjust some sizes and thickness of the current 3D model.

2) Automate the rendering and saving of each variation and component per fabric. This should be done by Python script to generate the different layers. Therefore, once a fabric is selected, all the variations will be saved in a folder created under the name of the fabric type.
