UK Only please! I have a dispute with neighbour where they have fitted gates across their drive over which we have an unlimited right of way. The gates are where the right of way starts, where we already have gates which we were in the process of automating so that my disabled wife doesn't have to get in and out of the car, they were aware of the automation. The gates serve no other purpose that to dissuade us from using the drive, we have another). they claim it's to maintain 'the integrity of their boundary, their property has been open to the public road for over 40 years with no gates.
My current solicitor, that we are far from satisfied with, has issued a letter before action but advises us that to proceed to court will cost about £30000. Is this the case? I appreciate that we would be at risk of their costs
