We are looking for a developer that can work fast and uses clean code. This job is for 3 website builds. All our sites are built with WordPress and we expect you to follow the below instructions when building for us.
What you will be Given:
Each site will be built using a modified and blank YooTheme. We will be setting the site up for you and providing Wordpress Admin logins, and SFTP Logins. We will provide a PSD of the designed out Home Page, and Content Page. You are expected to build both pages according to the design.
You will also be given all the images saved out for you. All assets will be provided in a zip file.
The Following instructions should be used when building the site:
To prevent changes from being overwritten when updating the theme, Yoothemes uses the following location for any files you would normally change in your child theme.
Child Theme File Path: /wp-content/themes/yoo_master2_wp/styles/custom/
This file path leads you to the "child theme" where all of the files you need to change are located. The main files you will use are:
• [login to view URL] (fonts, adding scripts)
• [login to view URL] (change the template - change a widget to a full page widget by closing the container/wrapper, etc.)
• [login to view URL] (all css goes here)
In addition to the code added to the child theme, all content should be added primarly in the widget area. (Location: Appearance/Widgets.) You will notice a number of additional widget areas. Use these areas for things like slideshows, feature areas, and anything else you need to add to a page.
When you drag in widgets to different fields the Theme will determine the appropriate widths of each widget by dividing the number of widgets added by 100% (If there are two widgets they will each be 50% wide, 3 widgets 33% etc.)
You can also specify what widgets appear on what page. Go to Master/Widgets scroll down to the widget area you are working with (for example top-a) and find the name of the widget you want to update. You may toggle the “title” box turning of and on the title for that widget, Also if you click the menu under “assignment” you will be able to select what pages you want the widget to appear on. (for example, click “frontpage” if you only want that widget to be present on the front page.)
We expect all sites to be mobile responsive. Mobile menu can be updated in the “offcanvas” widget area. But by default it should mirror the main menu. And all mobile code should be added to the media queries at the bottom of the [login to view URL] file mentioned above.
Time Frame and Pay
We want all 3 builds no later than the end of day Monday June 6th. Please notify us when each build is finished. We will pay $300 for each build making it a total of $900 for all 3.
Fast Time Bonus
If all builds are completed by end of day Sunday June 5th, there will be an additional bonus awarded.
