Upgrading Magento 1.9 site to Magento 2.0

Guide lines: Clean, fast coding. According to all Magento official standards, and hardened to future 2.X upgrades - changes made will not fail in version upgrades. General work needed: 1. Set up a fresh Magento 2 install on dev server. 2. Transfer all order history. 3. Transfer specific products and categories we choose (a lot of old in-active products on the old site). The products must contain the reviews associated with them and have the same URL they had in the 1.9 site. 4. Make design changes according to updated mock-ups. 5. Set up all functionality needed (as described below) with minimum installation of 3rd party extensions so not to slow down the site. Theme Porto - Install and design with updated mockups. Special functionality 1. Separate catalog for distributes (not showing regular retail products, showing, per category, only 1 grouped-product with all the products in the category with special distributor prices. - now done with Aheadworks catalog permissions. Causes the need to create each product twice - once with a normal price and once with a distributer price - making the catalog much bigger than it needs to be and impossible to manage stock. Need to find good solution. 2. Close cart for shopping (not site, just cart functionality) on Jewish sabbath day and holidays.
