Hello,
I need you to create a basic PHP script that will allow to specify pre-defined "comments" which are basic text lines of 150 characters. These comments should be published on a single page that will require user login so the information is not public (same login for all users, password protected folder is enough). Users will login to COPY and PASTE predefined text lines (comments) from the that page. This is the only purpose of this script.
The main goal of this script is to make sure a "comment/text line" is removed from the user's area/page as soon as one visitor/user COPIES the text inside the text box (text value radio button). You could create a BUTTON named COPY and make sure that comment is removed when a user clicks on the COPY button. Make sure no alternative COPY method is allowed so the script can reconize which comments have been copied without error margin.
I will list around twenty (comments/text lines) in the same page. I don't want to have the same comment COPIED by two different users.
Features of PHP script described below:
1) User area/page:
- List comments predefined by admin (comment = 150 caracter basic text line)
- COPY button next to the text area so the user can copy the text lines to his clipboard.
- Make sure the user's page is refreshed automatically every 10 seconds (javascript should be ok) so if two users enters the page simultaneously and one copied one comment, it will be removed from the other user's screen within 10 seconds (auto page refresh).
- List comments randomly and change their ranking on every page load.
This will reduce the chance to have two users copying the same comment within the same 10 seconds time frame. These are basic javascript features so no need for advanced coding capabilities.
2) Script features:
- Every comment should have a unique ID number. i.e. 345, 346, 347 etc.. so the script can log them to the Database and keep track easily.
- Script must log the IP address and time whenever a user logs in or clicks on the COPY button so the admin can check logs.
- Script must make the comment INVISIBLE/REMOVE it as soon as a user/visitor has clicked the COPY button.
- Rank the comments randomly so the users do not see the same comment at the TOP of the page when they log in (even if they log in at the same time)
3) Admin features:
- Login to add, edit or remove new "comments".
- define the refresh rate of users' page. i.e. Every 5 seconds, Every 10 seconds...
- See which comment ID has been COPIED by which IP address (log an IP next to every old/copied comment ID). This one is optional, if it's going to increase your work too much, you can ignore it but specify with your bid if included or not.
- Ability for admin only to delete old comments. Otherwise remove them from the users list but keep old comments accessible to admin.
