When bonded goods enter the warehouse, they get assigned a «goodsnumber», which is based on the year, the license code of the warehouse, the day of the year, and the transaction of that day. Example: • The license code of Warehouse 1 is 08497 • The license code of Warehouse 2 is 08498 • On January 1st 2015, Warehouse 1 receives 3 goods (a tennisbal, a pen, and a chair). The “goodsnumber” assigned to these 3 goods will then be: “Year”+ “license code” + “day of the year in 3 digits” + “transaction of that day in 3 digits” It will look like this: 201508497001001 • Later that same day, another set of goods (a car and a bicycle) enters the warehouse. This transactions’ “goodsnumber” will be 201508497001002 (note the 002 as this is the second transaction of that day) • Another example: On April 26th 2015, Warehouse 2 receives a set of goods. The “goodsnumber” will be: 201508498116001 (note that the license code is now 08498, and that the day of the year is 116 because April 26th is the 116th day of 2015) Information regarding the goodsnumbers has to be stored, such as: • Date of transaction • A site or department (which part of the company do the goods belong to) • Transport Order Number •The possibility to add an attachment (for example the signed documents from the customs office) Item details also need to be stored, such as: • Part Number • Part Description • No-Part Number • No-Part Description • Weight per unit • Value per unit • And the warehouse location where it will be stored That’s it for the ingoing transactions. Now when the goods leave the warehouse, I want to be able to choose the items based on the “goodsnumber”. So for instance, I know that the tennisbal has goodsnumber 201508497001001. I select the goodsnumber 201508497001001, and automatically, the items I can choose are limited to the items that have this goodsnumber assigned to them (a tennisbal, a pen, and a chair). When I select goodsnumber 201508497001001, I should not be able to choose any other items than the tennisbal, the pen and the chair. When I choose the items, then, the Part number, Part description, Serial number and No-part description have to be shown automatically. Each outgoing transaction will have a unique number. For example, the first outgoing transaction of 2015 will have the following transaction number: O-1/15 the second outgoing transaction of 2015 will have the following transaction number: O-2/15 (where the O stands of Outgoing) Again, Information regarding the goodsnumbers has to be stored, such as: • Date of transaction • A site or department (which part of the company do the goods belong to) • Transport Order Number • As well as the possibility to add an attachment (for example the signed documents from the customs office) • A third party goodsnumber which is assigned to the goods when the recipient receives the goods. Item details also need to be stored, such as: • Part Number • Part Description • No-Part Number • No-Part Description • Weight per unit • Value per unit Last but not least, I need a report showing which items I have on stock based on a date filter.
