I have a client who wants a membership website that automatically collects a membership fee from both user and provider (first year free), as well as automatically charge both sides a percentage fee when a user retains the services of a provider. The idea for the setup is like that of AirBnB, where the platform connects the users and providers and charges both sides a fee when a user chooses a provider’s place, except that the site we’re building will charge a membership fee as well as the fee when the parties agree on a business relationship. So, essentially we need whatever technology it will take to make the following happen: • User has ability to sign up with a credit card, but will not be charged for the first year. • Provider signs up with a credit card, but will not be charged for the first year • When a user retains the services of a provider, both sides are automatically charged a fee.
