Hello I have carried same approach for real time data acquisition using LabVIEW. I was saving data in CSV format but can change it to MySQL with no problem . The system can run forever as long as the update rate of data is rational to your laptop speed. I have a very efficient data format to handle multiple sensors to be placed in correct table and field. I just need to get a sample of your database so software could be built on it. I suppose the database will be placed on same machine that LabVIEW will be running on. I made too many projects with arduino, C# and SQL Server, I have experience with this kind of projects, I made to my school a system using this technologies to control the acces in the main door with RFID, Arduino, a C# program, SQL Server DB and .NET Web Application to view the information of the DB.
