We're having an recently where customers can login to their account but nothing happens i.e. the Login page is refreshed. We can see the "User Name" at the top now, but there's no other change. It is also not possible to proceed through the checkout by Logging in. I have checked all cookie issues, and have tried various suggestions in System-> Config for the Cookies I have also tried all the suggestions in this article: [login to view URL] but with no luck. the most common suggestion is to add <input type="hidden" name="form_key" value="<?php echo Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->getFormKey(); ?>" /> to login. phtml I have tried with multiple themes and with disabling/ enabling "Persistent" module. Finally, I've tried it on Google Chrome Firefox and Safari but in each case, the issue is the same; If anyone can fix this issue, they will be hired

This usually happens when magento is not on shared hosting but on a VPS with root access and if you have the root access then its fixable but if its a managed vps then you will have to go through alot of problems.
