Fix Google Maps-based Wordpress plugin

So I have this business-listing website and a plugin that's supposed to take all the address information from all the businesses, and then display them as pins on a map. Users can click the pins (which are grouped if they're very close together) and then be shown various information about the business like their rating and a link to their listing on my site. Although this plugin has worked for a couple years, Google recently made changes to the Google Maps API which results in a message popping up that says "This page can't load Google Maps correctly", even after I've added an API key and enabled billing on the associated account, which is supposed to resolve the issue. Further yet, after the plugin author's attempts to fix the issue, the map now ignores the given zoom settings and doesn't show any pins at all (this is even after flushing caches). So the original author has proven to be useless in this scenerio, and since this plugin isn't that complicated, I feel as though there are plenty of programmers out there who'd be happy to tackle this. If that's you, I welcome your bid. Do me a favor though: I've found that programmers who auto-bid just waste my time because they haven't actually read any of the details about the project. So if you've made it this far, please just use my name (Tim) in your bid comments, and I'll weed out anyone who doesn't. Oh! One last thing. The site is a live, production site, and I've had one too many developers screw the whole thing up when I gave them direct access to the live site. So I simply don't do that any more. I do however have a live sandbox that uses the same theme and plugins, so you can have access to that and tinker with what you want without any real-world consequences. Anyway, thank you kindly :-)
