Need a develop a very simple POS software system (web interface) to accept DONATION PAYMENTS (only) via cash, eftpos and cheque payments, and have the data/transactions record linked up to XERO (our existing accounting software) and our merchant facility. Most of the POS system out there such as SquareUp, Reckon POS has too many features that we don't need. Features we need for the POS software are as follow: - Only need a few items to select from when processing donations (don't need inventory type of items). - Each item need to be linked to different bank account. - Would like each donation to be recorded the bank account as each transaction, not as a lump sum for each day. - Able to generate report for each day and automatically filter the data/transactions to XERO without double entry or manual entry. - Able to import or export CSV file in and out of the software (for example, donor files and records) or able to link donor files directly from our existing client portal. We want to able to upload donor's details on to the receipt when processing the donation. - Employee access and restriction function. - Able to print, email and sms receipt to donors. - Receipt need to have basic customization functions, such as adding logo, business details, donor details, certain note or message. - A standalone application (if possible) so other related centers within our organisation can use them and link it up to their accounting software and POS. We have a ready, web based, multi location, out of the box donation solution (only needs integration to your POS merchant gateway) with integration to SMS, auto receipting. Demo can be provided over Skype. Hello, I have examined your project description, and would love to work with you to create your charity giving point of sale application using Asp.net MVC along with a SQL server backend database storing your line items and their bank details etc, as well as creating transactions for every individual donation made. The application will be secured, allowing admin, and user levels (and others as required). I understand that you’d like to enter transactions into your XERO accounting system, after some research I see that it would be possible to generate a file and import it into XERO, however I can find no information that would allow this automatically - but as you have a subscription for XERO their support people may be able to provide advice on how this might be achieved. Adding ability to export csv data, provide receipts by hard copy, email or SMS etc is not a problem to achieve, along with customisations such as logo, business details and donor details is a given. There isn’t enough room in the proposal to enter full details, so I would be more than pleased to discuss the project in more detail with you. First bid as a freelancer, hope you'll reach out so I can create a working relationship with you. My experience is in my bio, please ask any questions you may have. As for your project, I'd suggest a Linux front and backend to save in licensing fees for Microsoft Windows. Both server and client could be the same computer. Other hardware would include an Epson TM-T88-compatible receipt printer. I can assist in selecting the right hardware for your needs. From there, we can design a simple user interface with a login (either username/password or a simple 4 digit code). That will lead to a screen with the choices for donations. These would be adjustable from a back end and assignable to an account in XERO. The cashier would then enter the "customer's" details for later export. Printing or e-mailing the receipt is trivial, SMS will require an SMS gateway service such as Nexmo, that will incur monthly and per-use fees. The back end would have the ability to export the customer list to a CSV, and automatically generate the export CSV for XERO. Be aware, I'm not aware of a way to automatically import data to XERO. We can generate the CSV but someone must do the import to XERO manually. I'll investigate this more if you accept the bid, but I do believe this is the case. I'm almost out of space, I hope I covered all your requirements, if I missed something I'd love to discuss it further.
