Hi, As we want to scan the QR code, we need to use Camera and hence we nee to go with Mobile application ( iOs and Android). Client will open the app in their phone, they will scan the QR code from sample bottle which you will give them. Once scan, User will enter their details and save the. As per my understanding, a web based mobile responsive app is to be developed for the laboratory to collect the sample data. The patient will scan the barcode and will enter the data and at the labe the bar code will be scanned again and the data related to that sample and patient will be ready. I would code a responsive web app, meaning it would look good and be usable on any screen size on phones, tables and desktops. I imagine the following flow: Patients: 1) people access the web app using either their own phone, or a phone/table you provide them with 2) on the initial screen we instruct them how to proceed, so you don't get asked each time 3) we instruct them to enter their details, or choose one from the previously used ones on the same device (we can have a separate page where this is not enable, for cases where the patient uses a device provided by you, to preserve patients privacy) 4) once they've chosen/entered the details, we instruct them to take one (or as many samples as they brought) sticky QR code(s) from a tray in the waitingroom, stick it onto their bottle(s) 5) they scan the QR code on the bottle and the chosen/entered identity/details are linked to the scanned QR code and thus the sample, app gives a success/error message 6) app returns to step 3 allowing patient to handle the next sample 7) finally they give the bottle(s) to staff Staff: 1) Staff needs to log in to gain permissions to staff panel 2) Staff can scan any QR code and immediately get all the linked info: patient details, timestamp when the QR code was scanned, and notes 3) add notes Hit the char limit.
