I have a wireless access point (Ubiquiti Nanostation) for my boat that I use with several docks around the world for internet access while I'm at port. It's worked great for years. But, that's the problem, for the life of me, I can't remember the login. I really don't want to reset it, because it has the login parameters for 100's of different dock's that I port at. But without the login, I can't add anymore. So I'm kind of stuck. I would love to brute force my way in, but have no idea how to do that. The good thing is the login page doesn't have a number of attempts before it blocks you or time's out. You can throw as many logins as you want, it won't stop you. So that should work well with a brute force cracker. And just to make this perfectly clear, I OWN THIS DEVICE. I am not asking you to do anything illegal. I've included a screenshot of the login page ([login to view URL]) and also did a 'Inspect' if anyone finds that useful. When bidding on this project, please tell me how long you think it would take (approx). Thank you!!

I would like to know two points, one is you can public to internet de manager of the device, other question if you remember the last firmware update. maybe i can help you, brute force can get a lot of time, except that you remember if you use strong password or more simple. regards

Hi, I once had a similar problem with a device at work that I had to access, but no one knew the password. A brute force crack dit the trick. A quick look at the documentation set the username to "ubnt", unless you changed it, it will be all about the password. It's hard to guess how much time it will take, it depends on the complexity of the password and the time each test takes. Usually, I would do a dictionary approach(trying words in a long list) and then a full test all combinations brute force. If you can narrow it down, excluding special chars(*,/,$,...) for example, the complexity is reduced.

there are 2 ways I could get in .1 I know of a login bypass vulnerability Ubiquiti but that will only work if you did not updated it last year. (you should have posted the AirOs version & the last time you updated it) .2 I can Brute Force the login screen but without knowing how long the password is could take time. I could cut that time down by running more connections with my Brute Force tool but you will need to have really good signal. Also letting me know the kinds of passwords you pick for other things could help in me finding the right password faster, like telling me how you format most of your passwords etc.... As for how long it will take. That is hard to say without the info I need. Could be 2 days could be 7 days, I put down 4 because most people who are not hardcore tech pick bad password. I need more info to say how long it will take but I will do my best to get it done fast.
