Each post must have a separate URL and the To embed WordPress blog posts within [login to view URL] blog post must load upon clicking on a blog post title or "read more" button without use of AJAX (a normal href).
Current website functionality is limiting SEO. The site uses a PHP/CSS/HTML5 template that acts as a wrapper for WordPress content (fed in via the database). The site template will remain the same in all regards with exception to the /[login to view URL] page, found here ([login to view URL]). Presently, the /[login to view URL] page is using AJAX to load blog posts from WordPress into the custom template, which means that the posts do not have individually accessible URLs and cannot be anchored separately or found individually on Google (bad for SEO). All the content is contained in-line on [login to view URL] - the URL never changes and the page title never changes, both of which are issues.
The website presently loads WordPress "posts" in-line using AJAX scripts, listing blog posts on the left. The posts are not given unique URL identifiers and cannot be accessed individually. They are all viewed within the same page (/[login to view URL]) without a URL change.
We need to ditch the left bar. 5 truncated (introtext) blog posts will now be loaded within the content body frame of the template/wrapper. Only the introtext for these blog posts (250 words) will be displayed. The rest must be accessed by clicking on the blog post title or by clicking "Read More" buttons.
When a post is clicked, it must load a new page (URL) within the same template/wrapper as the rest of the site; the post content will load within the content/body frame. The fulltext will load once the page is accessed.
After the 5 truncated blog posts are displayed and the scrollbar reaches the bottom of the frame, the user must be presented with pagination options (descending by date -- new->old) to jump to the next page, which will contain the next 5 most recent posts, and so on. Posts will display in order -- i.e. Post 1, Post 2, Post 3, Post 4, Post 5, and then there is pagination displayed at the bottom.
There is presently a block (widget) on the home page (left column) that displays the most recent blog post. Please ensure this functionality still works with your changes.
The rest of the information as well as screenshots can be found in the attached word document.
