adjustment of current webpage

I already have a website developed. I am looking for a web designer to adjust my website and make it aesthetical pleasing. The site lacks end user quality and I lack the skills to fix it. The site is a database site and I believe the developer used php. The link to the site is www.okinawacarconnection.com. Please thoroughly check the site. I’m willing to offer access to the backend so the bidder can see the code and get a good idea of how much time and what needs to be done.

The designer should be able to look at the site and see what is not aesthetically pleasing and implement ideas to make the site appear professional. The site is targeting military families that move to Okinawa Japan and need to buy cars, families that are leaving and need to sell cars, as well as civilians and other government employees that work in Japan and speak English. The site will connect dealers with customers so it needs to appear very reputable.

Please bid a realistic priced based on your capabilities and also a time frame based on your capabilities. I will need updates daily on the status of the site, what project you are currently working and when you plan to finish that task, what task you will be working next and estimated time for that as well. This is very important to me. Bidder shall be creative, focused, and professional, speak and understand English, and communicate effectively. Here is a list of changes I want.

1. First I would like to change the main screen menu so that it only changes when clicked on versus hovering over the icon.

2. There is some type of error with the registering module because it does not always so the option to create new account.

3. I want to embed youtube videos on my seller’s pages so they can have the option to link videos to their item. But if they choose not to have a video I want the link not to appear on the page.

4. I would like to add a chat tool so users can chat if they are logged in. the user should be able to disable this tool as well.

5. I would like modules uploaded so I can add banners for advertising campaigns. I have one now but it’s only on the left side. I want to change it to a better one ..maybe flash..and also have more places to add banners.

6. I want all the links to have more appealing buttons. Some of my links are just look like “this”. Would rather have buttons.

7. I have a template for my dealers to create their own webpages within my webpage and also upload banners. Problem is when I delete their acct the page and banner is still there. I need to be able to delete them.

8. The main menu will automatically show the 10 latest cars listed, but if there is not 10 cars it shows a square with a “x” in it. I want that gone. Or maybe change it to some different type of display...Maybe if it would flash the 10 latest cars like an ad

9. The main menu also has all the makes/models. When the makes display, the window will stretch so the user can see all the models, but it does not do this for the makes. I need this window to appear neat. Also some of the links have flags and car pics but the words are boring and I would like them to change to some type of button.

10. When sellers log in to sell cars they have a form so they don’t have to type much info..most of it is drop downs but some are not. I would like to add a few more drop downs to make it easier( year, odometer, interior and exterior color) and also it asks for email and phone but I would like that info to be gathered during registration and automatically filled in for the seller.

11. I would like to add a disclaimer in the car page under the contact seller button so I can warn buyers to make sure the dealer says they have the model they are looking for before they get there.

12. I want the bidder to go through every function of the site as a user from start to finish and look for errors and correct them. Then send the corrected errors in a daily report. The page loads slow and has some weird errors when you log in and other places as well. I want them all fixed.

13. Last I want the bidder to recommend 5 changes that I will agree on and implement them. 5 changes can be a design or development change and must improve the appearance and functionality of the site.

Please do not bid this project if you are not going to be dedicated to it. I will leave negative feedback to awardees that do not follow the guidelines I have listed above. I want to start a good business relationship with a outstanding designer/developer so that I can have them work other projects in the future. Thank you and happy bidding!
