I flipped Deliverables and description: DELIVERABLES: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Deliverables ADMIN FEATURES: - Be able to add/delete/edit o Sections/Pages (such as news, sports, features, opinion) … and then with the adding it would update the contents bar on the left column on all the pages. Also be able to change the hierarchy of the links to the sections on the bar (so lets say I want to move FEATURES from being below SPORTS on the bar to above SPORTS). o Stories § This would be done via a form that would take the Headline, Authors Name, Authors Email Address, Date of Issue, Body Text, as well as a summary box (that would take a certain number of characters) and also be able to decide which section(s) the story should appear on (i.e ... if a story was submitted about the basketball team winning, the admin could select for it to appear on the front page and on the sports page) o Photographs § This would be an option on the form for submitting the story to allow for an unlimited number of photographs to be uploaded with the story. And if a photograph is selected, option for the photographers name and a cutline should be available. - Manage online advertisements o An easy to use way of adding online advertisements to the layout of the webpage. Not that it needs to take online advertisement orders in the ADMIN section, rather allow the admin to add a 120x120 advertisement to the right column or a 460x80 banner to the top. So all they’d have to do is type in the URL for the advertisement and it would do it and the page(s) would be automatically updated. So it would have options like “ADD/EDIT/DELETE ADVERTISEMENT TO RIGHT COLUMN?? “ADD/EDIT/DELETE ADVERTISEMENT TO LEFT COLUMN?? “ADD/EDIT/DELETE TOP BANNER ADVERTISEMENT?? “ADD/EDIT/DELETE LOWER BANNER ADVERTISEMENT?? and then when selected have be able to add/edit/delete advertisements on those certain areas. System itself: - Archive Feature o Allow it to save all the articles, stories, into an archive that can be search by DATE, AUTHOR or keyword or search of the text. o Also have each story have the authors/photographers name hyperlinked that will automatically search the archive for any story/photograph by that person. - CLASSIFIED ADS … It should be able to allow visitors to submit classified ads and payment and then should automatically update the classified ads page (with the ad in the appropriate category) with the new ad once the payment is received AS WELL AS email a copy of the ad submitted to a specified email address(es). o Also, if something goes wrong with the payment, it should throw up a page for the visitor that says something like “There was a problem processing your request. We will be in contact with you within 24 hours using the contact information you provided.?? And forward an email to a specified email address notifying of the problem as well as the copy of the submitted information. - Mailing List/Notification Feature o Allow for visitors to leave their email address and be notified when the news stories are updated (like [login to view URL] does about Breaking News). So it would give the headline and a brief summary to be emailed. We have a design already in place and this should be incorporated into the current design located at [login to view URL] but also add to the design to allow for photographs with each story if wanted and to make the story on the pages look more reader friendly… but keep the existing frames around everything. … maybe even the way the news aspect is laid out at [login to view URL] Also, the script that is currently running on the site (which is currently down) redirects the user to the current issue date.
