Palm-Outlook-CardScan synch

I'm trying to clean up old contact data in three software applications: 1) Palm Desktop (v4.1.4) 2) CardScan (v6.0.6) 3) Outlook 2002/XP I've had little success getting each application to export data into Microsoft Excel 2002. For example, the export features may combine fields like "Last Name" and "First Name" into one "Name" field. In the end, I need an easy way to compare and clean up all data (probably in Excel or Access) so that I can import the data to the ideal chosen application. Then, I'd like to upload it to a Palm Treo 650 for ongoing use. I've also had no luck obtaining file specifications (e.g., field lengths, formats, etc.) from any of the three manufacturers. I am interested in your suggestions on how best to clean the data and set up an ongoing process for maintaining clean data. Eventually, I will consider ACT or Goldmine as an upgraded solution. I prefer a developer in Houston, Texas who can create a simple solution. I have 20-years of programming experience (BASIC, Pascal, 4GL, limited COBOL, SQL) and should be a great client with the potential for future referrals. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
