Shopping Cart Additions and Modifications

We are working on a Shopping Cart script which needs a few additions.
Each addition will be considered a new Project. Each Addition or Project is estimated to take you under one hour to complete. After the first addition is completed we will send you the second addition, then the third , etc.
First Addition follows:
The script currently works perfectly well, adds items, modifies quantities of items and deletes items which are placed in a Shopping Cart. It successfully Process the Shopping Cart order when going through "Check Out", notifies the seller by email, plus sends a receipt to the buyers emails box.
What we need you to do is find a way for unfinished orders, (those which do not go through Check Out), to be deleted from the system because currently,when a buyer do not go through checkout, the next visitor to the website will find the unfinished order, and will have to delete the items from the Shopping Cart, before begining with a new order.
