Build Android Launcher App

I want a simple Homescreen Launcher apk which just overrides user's homescreen, BUT IT DOESN'T CHANGE THE EXISTING APP LAYOUT.
For example, even after installing the homescreen launcher apk, the user should NOT feel that anything has changed after the launcher app is invoked.
If the user has one tab on his current default homescreen, that user should continue having that one tab even after launching the launcher apk. If the user has 2 tabs, that user should continue having same 2 tabs. If a user has created folders, that user should continue seeing same folders.
