I have a bachelor in CS from the American University in Cairo and a minor in Mathematics. I have worked for the past year in Microsoft's Advanced Technology Lab in Cairo (ATLC) as a research assistant in the Computer Vision team. I have worked on various machine learning problems such as object detection and scene recognition and I am an IEEE published author.

I am a Mechatronics Engineer and have been implementing different algorithms on robotics during the past year such as PID control, Model Predictive Control, A* for path finding, Newtons's extrapolation method to compensate for GPS lag, I would like to try out your project, algorithms are an interest of mine, even if you choose some other bidder, let me have a go at your project, in such case I'll be happy to share my work with you but will be working in my own time ofcourse. The key to matching algorithms is the searching method used and a system for the value the user gives to a certain criteria. A* is something similar, not that it will be of much use here, but it uses similar costing criteria to find the shortest path through a set of nodes.

Your initial description is rather vague, I certainly understand that you need a pattern matching algorithm to determine a match (most likely a variable degree of match) between 2 data records, possibly from different datasets (though you're unclear what you mean by dataset). Could you possibly provide more information on this project, such as: - In what form do you want the algorithm in? (final code? if so a preferred language? pure calculus? pseudocode? flowchart? something else?) - Do you have sample data with which I can test/develop against? - Do you have targets/criteria under which the provided algorithm will be evaluated? - Do you have an intended timeline in which you need it? I suppose you need multicriteria data search and decision making (best data selection by contradictional or conflict criteria). The decision must base on experts preferences. If you have not strong expert preferences rules, you need application for making this rules. Decision making based of rules is not so complex job. The problem is to build good rules.

I would need more details about the matching problem, in order to be more precise about the amount of work to be performed and the timing for shipment.
