Expecting I am doing something silly and you can get me going quick. $ export VAULT_ADDR=[login to view URL] $ ./vault write secret/cookie recipe=sugar Error writing data to secret/cookie: Error making API request. Think you simply miss to create proper versioned (v1) store first, so try to run this command first: ./vault secrets enable -version=1 secret same command, which you try to run with using vault cli mode (just for reference, if needed): ./vault kv put secret/cookie recipe=sugar Tnx and Regards.
