I\'m interested in this project. I have done quite a bit of image processing but never with Javascript, but I\'m interested in doing this. I did checkout MarvinJ today (based on your suggestion) and played around with it a bit. I think all of what you\'re asking for is doable. The only thing to add to your description is that if you want the text to be editable, we\'ll have to use some OCR library, so tesseractjs is a good candidate. But you will also have to be reasonable in what languages are supported. I have used tesseract in the past (although not js), and it does really well in English especially if the text region detection is done before hand and i\'ve verified that MarvinJ does a good job of that.\r\n\r\nThe user interface will be somewhat like the demo on MarvinJ\'s website ([login to view URL]) except it won\'t have the sending to the server portion. \r\n\r\nI\'m splitting it into 3 stages (milestones), the automatic detection, the editing, and the text detection/recognition.\r\n\r\nPlease let me know if you\'re interested. Also, i\'d be willing to do a proof of concept of the detection milestone before we get started, but i think the bidding on the project closes soon.
