I am looking for a person to do an illustration for a press article. The illustration should be inspired by the Plato’s Allegory of the Cave ([login to view URL]) but applied to the ecosystem of start-ups and venture capital funds. In the illustration we must see a large cave in which are represented: Investors (VC), Journalists, Developers / Geeks, entrepreneurs - creators of start-ups and the like. A pile of cash is burning behind them, and is producing the shadows. They are all facing the wall of the cave (the entrance to their back) and they see shadows. The shadows represent: Smartphones / mobile applications, Drones, Bitcoins / Blockchains and if possible Web Platforms (Surveillance Capitalism). Outside the cavern are scientific breakthroughs of the future: Hologram communications; Travel in space and transport at the speed of light; programmable matter ([login to view URL]); In vitro meat, Climate engineering ([login to view URL]); Artificial uterus ([login to view URL]). At the entrance to the cave are two people who know the outside world and speak to those in the cave but no one listens to them - everyone looks at the shadows.
