PRODUCTION OF AN INFOGRAPHIC E-NEWSLETTER ON FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND EXPRESSION Background The Sudan Civil Society and Press Freedoms Watch is a quarterly e-newsletter that tracks and presents information on the state of freedom of association and expression in the Sudan. The e-newsletter tracks acts as an evidence base on the state of these two fundamental rights over time and is used to engage with policy and decision-makers to improve and expand the space for Sudanese civil society and freedom of the Press in Sudan. The information in the e-newsletter is currently presented in narrative form (text) as well as a few charts and graphs that present quantitative data relevant to the various issues that are being tracked and reported on. The contents of the -newsletter are organized under three main sections, as follows - • An opening section which introduces the e-bulletin and what it is about. • A summary section – which presents a report on the issues that have been reported on freedom of association and expression during the quarter. This is a combination of text and a few charts. • A tabular section that is in the form of a matrix that presents each issue reported organized by date and the relevant category under which it falls. Attached you will find the e-bulletin in its present form which we are looking to upgrade. What we’re looking for! This project seeks to upgrade the e-bulletin and present it in a more streamlined, professional, captivating and visually appealing form. The re-design will also include a combination of infographics and charts that present some of the data being reported/presented. Essential elements that also need to be incorporated in the design include – • The title of the e-bulletin which is ‘Sudan Civil Society and Press Freedom Watch’ • Branding using the logos of the three organizations that are involved in producing the e-bulletin • Brief short biographies of each of the three organizations. These are lines of text not exceeding 3-4 sentences. Finally, the upgraded e-newsletter will be produced in both Arabic and English, so the final design should be adaptable to the Arabic language. We can work with the designer to provide translations for the text that will be a fixed part of the e-newsletter. The project will be awarded to someone who is specialized in this area and who is able to bring more contextual graphics into the final production. Also, someone who has attention to detail and is able to comprehend what is written and able to present it in a captivating and visually appealing way. So please make sure you are able to share (through your portfolio) previous works that speak to these requirements. Final deliverables Final wireframe (one in Arabic and one in English) for the e-newsletter with placeholder text.
