Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN) Website I. Objectives of the new website: The main objectives of the GBDN website’s new project are: a. To underline the benefits of being part of the Network. Thus, increasing interest in other companies with a view to turning them into GBDN members; b. To make the website be a tool for an easy understanding of the GBDN work, activities; c. Highlight the principles of the GBDN Charter and also access to material and tools, categorized along the 10 Charter principles. II. Our website now The Global Business and Disability Network website ([login to view URL] ) , as it is now, has been made with “JOOMLA!” . After having developed a new website, we will have to move our domain to the new hosting provider and substitute the old with the new. A coordination between the hosting providers and the website developers will be needed during the process of developing and switching to the new website in the same domain. III. Main requirements: 1. Requirements: a. Completely accessible; b. Easy to manage and update; c. A training for our staff to manage the website will be required; d. To be developed in maximum two months; e. 4 months guaranteed for fixing technical difficulties. 2. Wordpress and Drupal (CMS) could be good options; 3. Homepage content: - Short introduction of the GBDN with Charter included; - Widget with a slideshow of the members; - Brochure ‘to know more about the GBDN’; - Latest news; - Twitter feeds (ask DCOMM which keywords/hashtags/Users). b. MENU: - The Charter; o Principles (with the graphic that is on the homepage, pages on each articles and resources related); o Signatories. - Our Members; o Business Members (logos + description and info graphics or hyperlinks); o Non-Business Members (logos + description and info graphics or hyperlinks); o How to become a Member (logos + description and info graphics or hyperlinks); o National Business and Disability Networks (logos + description and info graphics or hyperlinks). - News; o News Archive; o Newsletter articles; o Annual reports. - Resources: o Country profile; o Self-assessment tool; o Key publications (also infographics and publications published after 2013); o Infostory; o Mental health at work (see Ivana’s document); o Webinars; o Videos (a selection of the best videos we have, and then ‘watch more videos on our youtube channel’). Structure in detail: c. HOME: - In the Home page there will be the menu (top-right of the screen); - We need to put on the home page the most important information regarding the GBDN and also an interactive graphic with the Charter; - On one side there is a widget with a slideshow of the members’ logos; - Below, we can put a column for the Latest News. In this part, there will be the latest articles/news/events, the others will go to the dedicated page; - Another column can be dedicated to the Twitter feeds. d. THE CHARTER: - Under ‘Principles’, it would be interesting to have the same interactive graphic that is in the homepage that allows us to click on a principle and see the explanation (to be discussed with the website developer). Under each principle, we will have all the publications/resources/news/articles/events related to that (maybe through a tag system); - Under ‘Signatories’ we could put the companies that signed and the date. In this way, in the homepage we have all of them, but we still divide them a bit. e. OUR MEMBERS: - Here, we should host a page with the logos of members linked to more information that can be their website page or our info graphics with descriptions. Members are divided in Business members, Non-Business members and National Business and Disability Networks. - Page on how to become a member. f. News: - News Archive: here, we will archive the news (the latest ones will also show up on the home page); - Newsletter articles: here we will archive the articles we use to fill the Newsletter template; - Annual reports. g. Resources: - Country profile (Anshu is working on that); - Self-assessment tool; - Key publications (also info graphics and publications published after 2013); - Infostory; - The section on Mental health at work, based on Ivana’s documents; - Webinars’ archive; - Videos: in this page, there will be a selection of our best videos, some videos of our members and at the bottom page ‘Click here to watch more videos from the ILO disability team YouTube channel’).
