Mawi Learning is a leadership training company that works primarily with educators and high school students. One of the key segments for Mawi Learning is ELL: English Language Learners. About 10% of all public school students in the United States are ELL. ELL students have the worst achievement data of any group in U.S. public schools, and are often viewed through a deficit lens.
Mawi Learning serves the ELL market through a popular online course called Super ELL. The name Super ELL was chosen to present a strength-based, positive view of ELLs. Mawi Learning’s founder was a former, ELL.
