Hello. The formal specification for this project can be downloaded below: * Please ensure you have downloaded and carefully read the above document. This document is larger than 512k hence I could not have it as an attachement. We require an "EXPERT" graphics designer who is able to create detailed 2D schematic and 3D models. We are working on a project which enables oil production equipment to be rendered in a 2D schematic and real world 3D view. This project will initially require approximately 20-30 parts to be rendered. The library of parts will grow (there are potentially hundreds of parts to be rendered). Therefore this project will be ongoing. The successfully graphics designer can expect to receive work from us for at least 14 months. The graphics designer has to be an expert user of either: - AutoDesk - SolidWorks * 3D models are to be provided in DWG / EGES format NOTE: It is important to realise that the 2D schematics will be pre-rendered image which represent the 3D models. Therefore each 3D model will have a 2D image (windows metafile) to represent it within the schematic. There are numerous parts that make up the oil production equipment – each of these 2D / 3D models need to be designed such that they seamlessly fit together. The software that we are implementing will enable the user to link parts together using either the 2D schematic view, or the 3D model view. Therefore when our software links the various parts together in series the connections need to align perfectly. Graphics Designer Requirements ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ To be considered for this project you will need to be an “expert” 3D model / CAD designer. We will require you to provide us with your portfolio which shows the quality of your work. * Experience of mechanical engineering CAD drawing would be beneficial but not essential. ** Experience of PFD (process flow diagrams) and PID (process implementation diagrams / block diagrams). This is not mandatory for this project – but would be beneficial to understand how some parts connect/work. NOTE: If you are an exceptional 3D modeller but your 2D design skills are not so good then we would still like to hear from you. We can always get a 2D designer to convert your 3D models into 2D WMF images. To optimise the potential for you to win this project we would recommend that the graphics designer attempt to redesign one of the 3D models presented above. If we are presented with a realistic model then we will most certainly use the services of that graphics designer.
