I'm looking to build a calling list from several websites -
The main target website is guidestar .org
the other website is ou.org;
I need scraping from a total of 2 sites.
guidestar.org and ou.org
This should not be a manual process; I imagine 2 simple scripts need to be written to do the following
For guidestar.org, you would need to register as a free user. Execute a search and obtain company listing. From there, you click on the company name and it displays a summary page. I need the data from this screen. If it make things easier, I only need the first 50 characters of the company description. In addition, there is a button within the main address field marked as "show more contacts" I need the data from there as well.
For ou.org. CLick on top toolbar "Synagogue Finder" which brings up search. Default setting is set at 25 miles. That should be changed to 5 miles. Under the zip field, you start with "10001" and execute search. It will bring up up to 20 records. When you click on the record, it will bring up contact info. I need the data from that screen.
Once all 20 records are scraped, execute a new search with zip"10002" and a new 20 records will come up. this should be done until you reach zip "99999" Note, not all searches will display 20 records, many may be completely blank or display just a few records.
