Hello, This is quite an interesting challenge. POE is something similar, so such an approach might be beneficial. You have to understand that this sort of project is hindered by the quality of the power voltage. If you DC voltage is required to be ripple-free, then definitely tricky. Also, inserting a wave onto a flat carrier will be difficult at best. We basically need to superimpose a high-frequency wave onto the power. The higher the frequency, the easier to filter out at the power end. Do you have a cost limit in mind? Best regards, Stuart Borden.
