Hey! Wifi is terrible for online gaming, it's not only the speed but the latency goes down the drain. Taking a cable from the extender to your devices isn't going to help. I can suggest a better device for this purpose.

If the wire network didn't have a problem, for example, you didn't have a problem with wired cable quality and use 1 Gb/sec Ethernet interface, then the problem in wireless devices, in used Wi-Fi standards. If you want via wireless also to have 700 Mb/sec, firstly you should use at least Wi-Fi 5 devices (5 GHz - 802.11ac standard - point to point bridge connection), but for comfortable use you should use Wi-Fi 6 devices (802.11ax standard). And that there be no "barriers", like thick walls. I am working remotely and at the present stage (at this time) I am communicating via chat/message only.
