I have fibre connection upstairs and get speeds upto 700mbps and have connected a wifi extender downstairs so it can reach but can only get speeds of upto 80mbps. I use this for online gaming is there anyway I can upgrade it I’ve run a lan cat6 cable from extender to ps5 and have wired connection but only get 80mbps on that aswell

Hey! Wifi is terrible for online gaming, it's not only the speed but the latency goes down the drain. Taking a cable from the extender to your devices isn't going to help. I can suggest a better device for this purpose.

Hi. If the wire network didn't have a problem, for example, you didn't have a problem with wired cable quality and use 1 Gb/sec Ethernet interface, then the problem in wireless devices, in used Wi-Fi standards. If you want via wireless also to have 700 Mb/sec, firstly you should use at least Wi-Fi 5 devices (5 GHz - 802.11ac standard - point to point bridge connection), but for comfortable use you should use Wi-Fi 6 devices (802.11ax standard). And that there be no "barriers", like thick walls. I am working remotely and at the present stage (at this time) I am communicating via chat/message only.
