I need a copy editor/

I have been on the Freelancer platform as an editor/copy editor/proofreader for nearly three years and all my reviews are good. I have copy edited three crime novels / thrillers during that time. I am happy to do a sample edit of a few pages (at no cost) to see if you like my work. Can you please indicate how many words your manuscript is?

Hi there! I'm a professional English proofreader with extensive experience in linguistics and writing. Over the years, I've helped a lot of clients polish and refine their manuscripts (fiction and non-fiction), books, novels, novellas, ebooks, short stories, blogs, articles, etc. Besides ensuring a document is error free, I usually, if not always, opt to restructure or recast sentences for clarity and coherence, i.e. transitions between ideas. I also do some moderate and/or substantive editing, where necessary, to promote understanding, create parallelism and avoid awkwardness and ambiguity. Also, I never discuss or distribute the contents of my potential projects but I may keep a copy of your document on file for a period of 48 hours in the event that you need further editing of future revisions. The finished product will include two copies of the edited text—one that shows the changes (a copy with MS Word Track Changes on), and one that incorporates all of the changes made. PS. I hold a BA in English Language and Literature and currently teach TOEFL and IELTS.

I understand that a copy and paste article may need to undergo several modifications for it to pass copyscape. I will edit proofread and re-write the article to meet the required specifications. I have the skills to correct grammar errors and overall try to refine the English language.
