I have an Excel sheet where I want to get tabulate the value of inventory on hand each month. Sometimes the cost of items changes. For example if there was 12 widgets in January that cost $1 each, then in January the value should be $12. If the price changes to $2 in Feb. though, I want January's total to remain @ $12 and not change once a new month begins.

Hello there I have seen the attached document. To achieve what you are referring, I would suggest adding some Macros/VBA code to your file, which will keep track of the prices, as you change them between the Months. So that January will keep the costs as they were in January, as the Months progress. I would like to have a more detailed discussion with you on my proposal and possible implementation. Moosa
