Re-Work and add features to QT C++ application with UI update to be more user friendly

We have some 3d printer software specifically layout and slice (process for preparing STL 3d model file for printing, layout where the 3d objects should go and then slice it into a SVG type file). This file is they used with out 3d printer to print the file. We have working software, what we are looking for is to clean up the GUI make it more user friendly. We have a proposed ui that we would like it look like for layout and functionality. Second is that with our software we can add supports to the 3d model which are exactly that supports like scaffolding for helping the object to be printed properly .. usually related to overhang. Right now are software you have to manually insert where you want a support to be. We would like these supports to be generated automatically, attached image of proposed feature is included. Skills Qt C++ Framework Working with STL/OBJ 3d models and SVG images processing and manipulation. Knowledge of 3d printing usefull but not needed. Math skills for determining where the supports should be generated based on 3d model loaded. Scope of work. - Rework GUI/UI for software - major - Add auto support generation to compliment our manually added only - major - Orientation feature - Decide what is the best orientation the 3d model should be in for supports. (based on overhang angle of parts of model want smallest angle or overhang) - minor - adding update notification with update notes feature ... to direct client to our website when software update is available. - Major I have lots of references and knowledge on the subject... essentially we would like to update our software to be like another.
